The Chairman of the Dikko Project Movement, Hon. Musa Yusuf Gafai, has met with leaders of two prominent women’s groups in Katsina — the Gabas II Women Youth Association and the Matan Cikin Birni Organization Forum — as part of ongoing engagements aimed at strengthening grassroots political participation.
Gafai first received the delegation of the Gabas II Women Youth Association on Thursday at Kofar Marusa Primary School in Katsina, before holding a separate meeting with leaders of the Matan Cikin Birni Organization Forum at Gafai Restaurant.
During the engagement, the Chairperson of the Gabas II Women Youth Association, Hajiya Asma’u Haruna (Husna), commended Governor Dikko Umar Radda for what she described as visible development efforts across the state. She reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the governor’s second-term ambition in 2027.
Responding, Hon. Gafai expressed appreciation for the visits and the solidarity shown by the women’s groups. He assured them that their messages and concerns would be conveyed directly to Governor Radda and emphasized the administration’s readiness to continue working closely with women-led associations.
He further urged the leaders to intensify public sensitisation on voter registration, renewal of Permanent Voter Cards, and relocation of polling units where necessary, in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
